Great book. Really encourage other to read this
With S.R. Ahuja’s Avalon Princess in hand, I couldn’t wait to crawl under the covers each night and enter the whimsical world of Jade, the book’s free-spirited and strong-willed heroine. The characters, from fairies to mermaids to friends and foes she meets along the way, all draw one into the magical place of heart and mind where Jade begins to transform bit by bit, adventure by adventure, into the true princess of confidence and stature she was always meant to be. As I delved deeper into the forest with her, I re-lived my own challenges as a young girl, learning to trust my intuition. Avalon Princess is a magical coming of age story where a boy can fly, scary dragons and monsters are not all bad, and a young orphaned girl can become anyone she believes she can be. Will Ahuja invite us again to Avalon with Book II? My heart hopes so.
As a former school librarian, I strongly recommend this book for middle school readers. It is well written and keeps you tuned in to Jade's impulsive curiosity.
Met the author on a teacher trip and bought the book for my daughter (11 y.o). My daughter loved the book!
